Darkspace is a trio from Switzerland founded in 1999 by the musicians Wroth (Paysage D'Hiver), Zorgh and Zhaaral. They started with chaotic black metal, evolving to a mix of ambient and black devastation that is rarely found anywhere else. Three years later, after the Demo Dark Space-I in 2003, they released in 2005 their first album Dark Space I in a limited edition of 500 pieces. Dark Space I was later released in 2006 by Avantgarde Music. In 2006 they released Dark Space II Originally released in 2003 and 2005 respectively by Haunter of the Dark and now sold out, Darkspace's I and II are now owned up by Avantgarde Music and have been reissued in minimalistic card covered packages. On 28 May 2008 they released their third album Dark Space III, apparently recorded in an underground shelter

Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt is the eighth studio album by Norwegian black metal band Gorgoroth. It was released in October 2009 through Regain Records.Infernus – founding member and guitarist of Gorgoroth – reportedly began work on this album in October 2006 and was first reported writing it when he was released on parole from prison in March 2007. However, the latter stages of the songwriting and much of the recording process would be overshadowed – at least as far as public attention was concerned – by the Gorgoroth name dispute which began in October 2007. Within two weeks of the ignition of the dispute, the album title was revealed to the public.This album marks the return of Pest on vocals, as well as the debut of Tomas Asklund (ex-Infernal, ex-Dissection, ex-Dark Funeral) on drums and Bøddel (the pseudonym of Frank Watkin, Obituary) on bass.

1994: Ragnarok was formed by Jontho and Jerv after they left their previous band called Thoth. Thyme and Rym soon joined the band which gave the following lineup: Jontho drums, Jerv - bass, Rym - guitar and Thyme - vocals. At the end of the year Ragnarok recorded a demo called 'Pagan Land'. The demo was recorded in a small studio called Haga Audio located in Sarpsborg. As the studio had no experience with black metal, the sound came out to be very bad and the response was not so good. 1995: Ragnarok took part on a compilation CD for local bands in Sarpsborg and recorded a song called 'Et Vinterland I Nord'. This recording was pretty ok so Ragnarok decided to send out that song to some media and people around the world to get some feedback. The feedback was very good which made Ragnarok decided to re-record the demo in another studio in Sarpsborg called X-Ray Studios. Shortly after the release of the demo Ragnarok received very good reviews and feedback from different media in the scene and also signed with the cult label Head Not Found Records. Ragnarok went to X-Ray Studios again in the summer to record their debut album called 'Nattferd'. Nattferd was released the same year and the first gig took place at the MC-club Lacoste MC in Sarpsborg. 1996: Ragnarok was not satisfied with HNF Records' work on the Nattferd album so they decided to leave them and seek another label for future releases. When Ragnarok started searching HNF came up with a much better deal and Ragnarok re-signed with HNF for two more albums. The same year Ragnarok played a gig in Oslo at the famous bar Elm Street together with Old Man's Child, and shortly after the gig Ragnarok got news from Century Media who were interested in signing the band. Since Ragnarok was bound to a contract they had to say no to Century Media. 1997: Ragnarok entered the studio X-Ray in Sarpsborg once more to record the second opus called 'Arising Realm' and released it the same year. Ragnarok also got some help from Shagrath of Dimmu Borgir to play the keyboards on this album. But since he had much work with his own band Ragnarok agreed that he would be a session member for the recordings of the album. 1998: Ragnarok went on their first tour together with Siebenbürgen from Sweden and Atanatos from Germany. This was just a small tour of eight gigs with one in Copenhagen (Denmark) and seven in Germany. When Ragnarok were on tour they got an offer from 'The Hellraiser Festival' in Leipzig to perform and so they did in the summer of 1998 with bands like Lord Belial, Gehenna, Enslaved, Aerturnus and many more At the end of the year Ragnarok was ready to record their third album called 'Diabolical Age' and this time the recording studio would be Endless Studio in Oslo. Since the recording started around Christmas and the engineer was going to have a longer vacation, Ragnarok had to continue the work the next year. 1999: The recording of Diabolical Age continued but the mix became awful. The album needed re-mixing five more times, also another engineer was needed to get a better result. After the recording Thyme decided to leave the band because of other interests in his life and he didn't want to be in the band when he couldnt give a full 100%. Because of his departure the release of Diabolical Age was delayed and the search for a new vocalist started. Rym did also have some new material ready, and meant that it would be the best for the band to get one more guitar player in the band to develop 100% musically. Sander from the band Shadow Dancers became a member of Ragnarok. 2000: A man called Astaroth from the northerly part of Norway became the new singer of Ragnarok. A little while later the Diabolical Age album was released. Ragnarok took part at the 'Under The Black Sun Festival' in Germany and the band was shocked by the poor performance of Sander. His performance was that bad that he was kicked out of the band as soon as they got home from the festival. Astaroth did well on stage and Ragnarok decided to let him stay in the band. Ragnarok was left again without a second guitarist and a friend of the band called Lord Arcamous was soon asked to join for a tour later the same year. This tour was together with the Swedish band Satanic Slaughter. This was a self financed tour and very hard on the band since Rym had to stay home for personal reasons. The pressure on the tour showed that Astaroth wasn't the right man for the band and he was kicked after the tour. The contract with HNF was finished after the release of Diabolical Age and the search for a new label began. 2001: Lord Arcamous became a fulltime member of the band and since Astaroth was kicked he also took over the job as vocalist. Ragnarok started to spread their music to different labels and got hooked up with the fast growing label Regain Records from Sweden. It was a honor that Regain Rec. was interested in the band and the signing for two albums took place. Ragnarok entered the Abyss Studio in the summer to record the album 'In Nomine Satanas', engineered by Tommy Tägtgren. 2002: The release of In Nomine Satanas took place and Ragnarok went on tour with Dark Funeral, Anorexia Nevosa, Occult and Tidfall. This tour became one of the worst tours that had ever been arranged. There were a lot of problems from day one on. Again Ragnarok was cursed by bad luck and Lord Arcamous decided to leave the band after the tour. The reason was some personal stuff and that he simply couldn't take the pressure to continue. After this tour the moral in the band was pretty low and not much happened in the camp for several months. Jontho then took part in a Norwegian band called Tsjuder to play drums on their latest album called 'Demonic Possession'. A live performance in Germany at the 'Under The Black Sun Festival' with Tsjuder gave Jontho the opportunity to see Taake live. The performance of the vocalist in Taake was that great that Jontho asked him if he would be interested in a tryout with Ragnarok. Shortly after the festival Hoest wanted to give it a go and see if it was something for him and the band. In September Hoest came to Sarpsborg to do the vocals on a Celtic Frost cover and it turned out that he was perfect for Ragnarok. New material was under construction and later the same year with great help from the label and a close co-operation with Metallysee, Ragnarok was ready again to go on tour. Ragnarok toured the X-mass Festivals in Europe together with Six Feet Under, Exodus, Marduk, Macabre, Impaled Nazarene, Immolation, Hate Eternal and Anteus. 2003: Ragnarok entered the Abyss Studio in March to record the next album Blackdoor Miracle and again the engineer was Tommy Tägtgren.

Cirith Gorgor, initially named Dark Sorceress, was founded by the two guitarists Asmoday and Astaroth Daemonum in late 1993. The line-up was completed when Levithmong (drums) and Lord Mystic (bass) joined the band shortly afterwards. In the course of 1996 Nimroth (vocals) replaced the band’s first vocalist who was dismissed due to a lack of motivation.The band name was chosen because it represented a common interest within the band, and for its symbolism; the haunted pass to Death. A variety of interests can also be found in the lyrics, of which the main inspiration springs from an intense antipathy towards all organised religions.A period of frequent rehearsals ensued and more songs were composed, which eventually led to the recording of Cirith Gorgor’s first demo "Mystic Legends…" (1997), produced in the band’s rehearsal place. 350 copies were soon sold out.About a year later Cirith Gorgor signed with Osmose Productions, after which the debut album "Onwards to the Spectral Defile" was released in 1999. Immediately after the recordings of this album Asmoday decided to leave the band because of personal circumstances. In spite of this loss the band soon regained full strength again when Marchosias (guitars) entered the legion. They were able again to execute several more live performances, which until then had included shows with, a.o., Behemoth, Aeternus, Asphyx and Testament.After positive reviews and live shows the band started to compose their second album "Unveiling the Essence" (2001), which was once again released by Osmose Productions. The typical aggressive yet melodic Cirith Gorgor style was consolidated and the new album received good reactions.Then, after successful gigs with Enthroned, Dead Head and Hades Almighty, Cirith Gorgor’s second founding member Astaroth Daemonum also decided to quit the band because it proved impossible to combine full dedication to the band with his other daily life activities. At this time the band’s label also chose to end the cooperation with Cirith Gorgor. The band, however, remained motivated and started working on new material.A self-financed promo titled "Demonic Incarnation" (2002) was recorded, which came to the attention of German label Ketzer Records. Two of the songs featured on the promo were released on a limited edition 7"EP, titled "Through Woods of Darkness and Evil", through a cooperation between Ketzer and Regimental (USA). A new guitarist was found shortly after recording the promo: Inferno, coming from Dutch black metal band Tartaros, joined forces and was involved in the creation of Cirith Gorgor’s new album "Firestorm Apocalypse – tomorrow shall know the blackest dawn This album was released in July 2004 by Ketzer Records, and in the following year Cirith Gorgor did a European tour with Lux Ferre and Daemonlord.With the help of Mor Dagor guitarist Pestilence a new track, entitled "Demonic Incarnation", was recorded, which was released 2005 as a split 7"EP with Mor Dagor, again by Ketzer Records.During the following months new material was written and it was decided that Nimroth would no longer be a part of the band because he simply did not put as much time and energy in the band as required.The latest album, titled "Cirith Gorgor", was recorded in 2006 in the Toneshed Studio (NL) with Erwin Hermsen, who also recorded the band's demo and debut album. Levithmong did the vocals on this album because a new vocalist had not been found on time. Ketzer released the album on 26 February 2007
The band did, however, find a session vocalist - Satanael from Dutch black metal band Walpurgisnacht - who agreed to help out in case of any future live shows/tours.In early 2008 Cirith Gorgor decided to put the band's interest first and parted company with Inferno because he had indicated that he was no longer interested nor available for touring. Some time later he was replaced by Odium and it was also decided that from now on Satanael would be Cirith Gorgor's permanent vocalist.In September 2008 a new recording contract was signed: Displeased Records (NL) will release the band's next two albums, the first of which will probably be released somewhere near the end of 2009.

Hate Forest was a Ukrainian Black metal band. The band's lyrics are heavily influenced by Slavic mythology and poetry as well as by modern Ukrainian nationalist and Conservative Revolutionary ideology. The band has recently split-up. The mastermind of Hate Forest, Roman Saenko, who is also the leader of Drudkh, has founded a new band, Blood of Kingu. He also has a dark ambient project, based on European medieval history, called Dark Ages.
Hate Forest never officially released any lyrics; however, they have sometimes been classed as a National Socialist black metal band due to the lyrics "Aryan consciousness is lost", which are clearly audible on their song "Aryosophia." However, statements made about Drudkh's politics would seem to contradict this or indicate a shift in position since that song was recorded; further discussion can be found in the Drudkh article.

Inspired by blasphemous and blackened metal, KULT OV AZAZEL spit forth their hate towards humanity and religion. The unholy birth cries were first heard in 1999, under the infernal name of Azazel. Hailing from South Florida, Xaphan and Xul decided to join forces, marching relentlessly towards a shared destiny with a grim vision. June of 2000 marked a turning point for the entity formerly known simply as Azazel. The horde decided to distance themselves from other bands using the same name, and re-anointed themselves as Kult ov Azazel. After the 1999 release of the mCD "Order of the Fly" and various split CD's, which established Kult ov Azazel as an unstoppable force upon the US Black Metal, they signed with Arctic Music Group, ensuring them proper distribution and a good budget with which to create their debut full length. In April of 200l, the much anticipated full length was released. "Triumph of Fire", which consisted of 11 hymns to the forces of hatred lived up to their motto of "No Beauty, No Atmosphere, No Tranquility." It was a manifesto of evil and misanthropy, embodying everything Kult ov Azazel stands for. In 2002, a decision was made to incorporate a second guitarist along with finally securing a permanent drummer after numerous studio/live fill-ins. With the line up of Xaphan (guitar/vocals), Xul (bass/vocals), Nocturath (guitar) and Hammer (drums), in March of 2003 Kult ov Azazel released their second full-length "Oculus Infernum". Consisting of 8 tracks of profane black metal, "Oculus Infernum" was a testimony of pure anti-christian hatred and blasphemy. Another lineup change came in 2004 when Nocturath decided to depart the band. His replacement would come in the form of VJS, who first appeared with the group when they co-headlined the "Northern Lights Festival" in Toronto, Canada. Satanic Warmaster is a one man black metal band formed by Werwolf in Lappeenranta in 1999 that debuted with Strength & Honour (Northern Heritage, 2001) in the style of ferocious, raw old-school black metal. Opferblut (No Colours, 2003) was less vibrant but continued their devastating occult odyssey that after several split/EP releases lead to formation of new underground Black metal classic Carelian Satanist Madness (No Colours, 2005). Their main lyrical focus deals primarily with Satanic beliefs and European folklore. The band has also written songs about fascism, war, and vampirism.

The Legion

The LEGION's march started back in 1999 with the purpose to bring black plague and violence to this world. In early 2000 the demo "Bloodaeons" was recorded. This four-track blasterpiece of cold and grim black metal gained very good response when released later the same year. In the year 2002 The LEGION entered Los Angered Recording in Gothenburg. Four new songs were recorded which resulted in a 7" vinyl / MCD entitled "Awakened Fury". This release made Listenable Rec. (Fr) interested in the band and a three album deal was inked. The LEGION went off to famous Abyss Studios in late June 2003 to record their debut album "Unseen to Creation" together with producer Tommy Tägtgren. In October the same year "Unseen..." was released on CD and on a limited, hand numbered gatefold vinyl in 500 copies. The march continues with a European tour in 2004 and new material is being written for the second opus. During the year 2005 the follow-up to "Unseen..." is recorded, partly in the bands own studio Art Decay and partly in Endarker studio who is owned by Marduk bassist Magnus "Devo" Andersson. The new album is entitled "Revocation" and is set for release in late February 2006. The LEGION's line-up has changed a few times during the years and today the horde consists of the three founding members Emil Drautinovic (drums), David Svartz (guitar) and Rikard Kottelin (guitar). Lately a new vocalist has been recruited, called Kjetil Hektoen (also in Enthral and Crest of Darkness). The new bassist, Kristoffer Andersson is now a permanent member of the horde.

Behemoth was formed in 1991 as a trio, starting with raw and primitive black metal rehearsal tapes (Endless Damnation) and demos (The Return of the Northern Moon), the most significant of which was the second one—...From the Pagan Vastlands (1993)—showing the growing potential of the then teenage Nergal. Tomasz Wróblewski likes to announce that his metal influences sprung from Black Sabbath for giving him his ideas of "demonic" chords.
This tape was released by Polish label Pagan Records and later on by the American Wild Rags. Signing with a little-known black metal bands from mid-eastern Europe with enormous potential. Consequently, stepping forward, the band (as the three piece with Nergal, Baal, and Les) recorded their second album Grom.
Grom has been the most discussed release thus far, due to its many different influences and musical styles, using female vocals as well as acoustic guitars and synthesizers. At the same time, Behemoth finally got a chance to play live shows in its native country and finally tour around Europe, gaining stage experience as well as positive feedback from the audience. Two years later, the band recorded a third album, titled Pandemonic Incantations which was a "breakthrough moment" in Behemoth's short career. The reactions of their ever-increasing fanbase and metal media set a new standard for them. However, due to a lack of promotion, the album was not well-publicized. After another extensive tour, Behemoth signed a two-album deal with Italy's Avantgarde Music in the fall of 1998. The first result of this new collaboration was the successfull album Satanica, on which the black metal sound had evolved into blackened death metal.
The label also secured two European tours for the band in support of Deicide and Satyricon respectively. During that period, Behemoth had to go through some line-up changes and problems with their ex-Polish label. The new members then were Novy (formerly known from Devilyn, now in Vader , Dies Irae) who handled the bass duties and Havok who became the band's guitarist. The new line-up resulted in Behemoth signing with Mystic, a Polish label. The next follow-up release to Satanica was Thelema.6. Massive guitar parts and precise drumming, with influences from different sources, showed that Behemoth were there to offer something really varied and innovative once again complete with characteristic fierce brutality and speed. Arrangements and technical invention on individual compositions made the album an ultimate one for the blackened death metal genre.
Thelema.6 has been supported by the worldwide press and media , including having their album being officially released in Russia and Brazil for the first time. Continuing the support for Thelema.6, Behemoth appeared in several prestigious live events like Wacken Open Air, With Full Force, Inferno Metal Festival, Mystic Festival, and Mind Over Matter Autumn. They started first headlining tour alongside with Carpathian Forest and Khold, followed by festival tour in Poland (Thrash em All Fest. with Vader and Krisiun, among others).
In 2001, Behemoth focused on writing new material for a sixth studio album. Meantime, they completed their second headlining tour in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. Having completed the recording of their new songs, Behemoth entered Hendrix Studio for the second time, with help of their friend and sound engineer Arkadiusz Malczewski, and produced Zos Kia Cultus (Here and Beyond). The result was impressive and overwhelming for their detractors who thought that the band couldn't reach newer heights following Thelema.6 In February 2003, the band started their first tour in Norway, playing in cities such as Bergen, Oslo and Stavanger. On March 11, 2003, the American premiere, scheduled by Century Media Records, headlined Behemoth's first appearance in the US continent. The tour started on the 9th of March at the New Jersey's Metalfest and continued with a decent amount[citation needed] of shows across America and Canada, with the company of Deicide, Revenge, Vehemence and Amon Amarth. Shortly after doing their first US tour the band was invited to join the Blackest of the Black Tour by Glenn Danzig. The already legendary festival included acts like Danzig, Superjoint Ritual, Nile, and Opeth. In the fall of 2003, Behemoth flew over to US to complete their third tour with Six Feet Under, Skinless and Black Dahlia Murder. The band did their Finnish debut appearance on the famous Tuska Festival with Ministry, Soulfly, among others. At that time, due to some line up difficulties, Nergal parted his ways with Havok and Novy, who decided to focus on activities with their own bands. Eventually, the band resumed touring in the UK and Europe.
In 2004, their seventh studio album, Demigod was released to good critical response. Recorded at the Hendrix Studios, the album debuted at number 15 on the national Polish album charts. Music videos for the songs "Conquer All" and "Slaves Shall Serve" were also shot. In fall 2005 the band headlined the Demigod supremacy Canadian tour 2005 with Necronomicon
In 2007, the band toured Europe alongside Napalm Death, Moonspell and Dew-Scented. Behemoth released their eighth studio album The Apostasy in July of that year. It was recorded at Radio Gdańsk studio in December, 2006. Shortly after the release of The Apostasy, the band was featured as one of Ozzfest 2007's second stage headliners, one of the four non-US bands playing that year. In October/November 2007, they played their first US headlining tour alongside Job For A Cowboy, Gojira, and Beneath The Massacre. In October/November 2007 the band toured Europe alongside Canadian death metal combo Kataklysm and Belgium's Aborted. In February 2008 Behemoth toured Europe headlining over Suicide Silence. In April/May 2008 the band toured North America as part of "The Invaluable Darkness" tour with Keep of Kalessin and headliner Dimmu Borgir. Behemoth spent the summer playing a number of prominent festivals all over Europe.
In October 2008, Behemoth will release their first live album,At the Arena ov Aion – Live Apostasy. Also, an EP called Ezkaton will be released featuring a re-recorded version of Chant for Eschaton, one new song, two covers, and three live songs. The EP has been released in North America on November 11.

Controversy
Behemoth may at some point become banned from playing in their native country, Poland. In July 2007 the All-Polish Committee for Defense Against Sects distributed a list of bands that allegedly promote Satanism and murder to many Polish officials. Critics of this policy primarily see this as a violation of free speech, with the most scathing criticism generally eminating from within the metal community. As of present, the list has not gone into effect, and Behemoth is still allowed to play in Poland freely, but the band provoked further controversy in February 2008 when an official complaint had been registered by the committee, which cited a bible-tearing incident on behalf of frontman Nergal at a concert in September 2007.

It all began on a winter night in late 1992 when four dark souls came together under great influence of alcohol and a wish to create Black/Death Metal dedicated to the one without a master.The four dark souls spoken of before was Thomas Backelin, Micke Backelin, Anders Backelin and Niclas Andersson who started up Lord Belial that very night, the same winter they recorded the first demo ‘The Art Of Dying’ which got some really great reviews in underground zines.In the beginning of 1993 they once again entered the studio to record ‘Into The Frozen Shadows’ -a demo tape which gave them a record deal with No Fashion Records that same year.
Chapter I; Kiss the GoatUppsala and the Soundfront studio was the first target in the year of 1994 for the quite new band Lord Belial as they were going to record their debut album entitled ‘Kiss The Goat’ which was released in 1995 and really got some heavy attention on the band because of its ugly fucking pink cover which due to incompetent manufacturing still was released, but they also got great feedback from fans worldwide, and lots of live gigs was executed that year.
Chapter II; Enter The Moonlight GateIn the summer of 1996 Lord Belial got their asses and gear to the Fredman Studios in Gothenburg to record the follow up to ‘Kiss the Goat’, entitled ‘Enter The Moonlight Gate’ (which was released in mid 1997.)This time they chose Studio Dzyan to create a cover for the album and it was fucking awesome!! Right after the recording was complete, Lord Belial went on their first tour as a headline act with the German bands Adorned Brood and Impending Doom as support actsThe second tour was approaching the band in late 1997 as their fellow countrymen in Dismember wanted them to join in as an opening act together with Disfear.After the tour, Lord Belial got many offers about gigs and tours but now it was time to just continue rehearsing and writing new material.
Chapter III; Unholy Crusade1998 was the year of the creation of the ‘Unholy Crusade’ and this time Los Angered Recording Studios was chosen as the battlefield of this crusade.This album was released in 1999.A Tour was again executed but this time with Lord Belial as the head act and it was all a success…After lots of gigs and smaller tours Niclas decided to leave the band in 2000 and was replaced by Fredrik Wester
Chapter IV; AngelgrinderWith a new Line-up an album was recorded once again in Los Angered, in the end of the process Niclas Andersson rejoined the band and now the band consisted of five members for the first time in their history and with three guitars it was a massive wall of sound when playing live.After the release in 2002 Lord Belial was head act for the ‘Angelgrinder Tour’ with Corporation 187, Satanic Slaughter and various local bands as support, right after this tour Fredrik was forced to leave the band due to lack of time from his side.In the winter of 2003 they also was head act for another tour supported by the Norwegian band Forlorn.Lord Belial continued playing all around Europe until a day in June when Micke decided to take a break from the band and was temporarily replaced by Daniel Moilanen, and with this Niclas once again quit the band with a mutual understanding.
Chapter V; The Seal Of BelialThe third album in a row in Los Angered and this time with yet another new line-up…Daniel quit the band in the middle of the process of the recording and Micke rejoined Lord Belial right after Daniel´s departure.
Chapter VI; Nocturnal BeastJust before the release of the fifth album 'The Seal Of Belial' (the first album on Regain Records) a new guitarist; Hjalmar Nielsen, was recruited and Lord Belial started off as a new era was begun- a new era with a new member, new logo, and somewhat of a new musical style for the band. Even that the music is still cold, melodic and raw it’s not focused on the fast parts as on the previous albums. Signing to Regain Records was the best decision for Lord Belial, with the total dedication and support came great inspiration and therefore writing material for a new album was quite a fast thing to do. Los Angered was entered to record the sixth album 'Nocturnal Beast' with Andy LaRocque as producer once again. The whole recording-session went really smooth with some pre-produced stuff such as clean guitars and all line guitars, the whole session was over after only 22 days including mixing and mastering. Lots of gigs and festivals was attended by Lord Belial past the year since the release of 'The Seal Of Belial', highlights was the Hard Rock Laager Festival in Estonia and of course the legendary Party San Open Air Festival in Germany!
Chapter VII; RevelationYet again, Los Angered Recording Studio, with Andy LaRocque as producer, was the target and this time it was time for a Revelation.The album Revelation was like a turning point for Lord Belial, who for the last 2 albums had evolved more and more into slow melancholic stuff which led them astray from the path they first explored.With the album ‘Revelation’ Lord Belial showed that they still had the aggressiveness which was shown on earlier albums and that they had more to offer from where that came.This album ended up to be praised by both press and fans, Revelation got to be “The Album of the Month” in several magazines and online sites.Revelation caught the attention of many promoters and a tour was executed over the whole of Europe.
Chapter VIII; The Black CurseSpringtime 2008 was the procreation time of the album ‘The Back Curse’ - the album considered by many to be the strongest effort of Lord Belial so far.This time a new studio and producer was chosen, Deadline Studio with producer Valle Adzic (guitarist in Impious, producer of Impious, One Man Army etc.) and the outcome was very impressive. Lord Belial wanted a new sound and with this new album no one can shun the fact that Lord Belial has entered a new era.Wacken Open Air was attended successfully; Lord Belial also headlined the 3-week tour ‘The Black Curse Over Europe’ with fellow countrymen Apostasy.- This is the Era of The Black Curse!

ENTHRONED was formed in 1993 by Cernunnos. He soon recruited guitarist Tsebaoth and later bassist/vocalist Sabathan. The band released a 5-track demo tape in mid 1994 which brought them to the attention of several independent labels. A 7” split EP with Ancient Rites was then released by the underground label Afterdark Records. After the label’s demise, Evil Omen Records (a sub-label of Osmose Productions) released ENTHRONED's first full-length release, Prophecies of Pagan Fire. Shortly thereafter, the band enlisted second guitarist Nornagest. Eventually, Tseboath was replaced by Nebiros, a very extreme musician who not only brought new blood into the band, but also complemented Nornagest’s brutal and barbaric style. Since the release of their first demo, ENTHRONED has always nurtured their amazing live reputation. They have shared the stage with the likes of Marduk, Enslaved, Dark Funeral, Angelcorpse, and Emperor, to name but a few. In 1996, along with Ancient Rites and Bewitched, ENTHRONED began an extensive tour of Europe. In April 1997, as ENTHRONED was to begin recording Towards the Skullthrone of Satan, Cernunnos took his life. Albeit a heavy blow for the remaining members, ENTHRONED forged ahead, recording the album with a session drummer in honor of Cernunnos. The blackened horde went on to perform at the Dragons Blaze festival with newly acquired drummer Namroth Blackthorn. The crowd’s response could not have been better. In April 1998, the band toured the European continent with Dark Funeral and also released the MCD Regie Sathanas, an internationally acclaimed Black Metal masterpiece dedicated to their deceased comrade. Later that year, they toured again with labelmates Hecate Enthroned and Usurper. At the close of 1988, the band entered Abyss Studios (Sweden) to give birth to The Apocalypse Manifesto. This third album was released in May 1999. No other title could better reflect the intensity of this satanic work, which dealt with the biblical concept of the Apocalypse as interpreted by a satanic perspective. ENTHRONED rounded off the 20th Century on tour with Marduk and continued to take European crowds by storm with several other live performances. 2000 was a busy year for ENTHRONED. The band parted ways with Nebiros and recruited Nerath Daemon as their new axeman, who then successfully passed his trial by fire on a German mini tour followed by several other European shows and the recording of Armoured Bestial Hell in the Real Sound Studio (Germany). This fourth album was released in April 2001. Unfortunately, the band was to endure another line-up change. Namroth Blackthorn was released from his duties and was replaced by Alsvid from the French Black Metal band Seth. ENTHRONED continued to play many live gigs in and around Europe, as well as in the US. In early 2002, ENTHRONED signed to NAPALM RECORDS releasing their fifth full-length recording, Carnage in Worlds Beyond, later that year. In June 2003, ENTHRONED added Nguaroth (guitars) and Glaurung (drums) to their line-up and readied for a South American tour, as well as the release of their sixth and anxiously awaited album, XES Haereticum. In 2005, Enthroned released their first official live album, Black Goat Ritual, recorded during their successful tour of Brazil. Yet after desecrating several stages and festivals, the band was once again forced to tackle a line-up change. ENTHRONED parted ways with longtime vocalist Sabathan, at which time Nornagest took over the vocal responsibilities, bass player Phorgath joined the band on bass. In June 2007, ENTHRONED recorded their seventh and most accomplished album Tetra Karcist, seeing the return of old drummer Alsvid for the studio sessions. The album being recorded, Enthroned made a pact with Ahephaïm who permanently joined the band on drums. At dawn of 2008, Enthroned signed a new deal with Regain Records.

Evilwar was formed in 1999 by: I. Niger (drums), Sabatan (vocal), Typhon Seth (bass), Azarack (guitar) and Nathaivel (keyboards). In the year of 2000 when the band was about to record the demo-tape, Nathaivel left the Evilwar. Somber music decided to firm the contract to record the two albums and so in 2001 the first one was concretized; the so-called "UNHOLY MARCH". During the studio recordings, Haborym gathers the horde and after the recording of the CD Azarack left the evilwar. So Halphas (guitar) joins the horde to make some shows and tour, but as time goes by Halphas seems to be the new guitar player. In the beginning of 2004 the second CD comes up with the name of EVILWAR. After this Typhon Seth (bass) was put apart of the horde because of showing no interest for the Black Metal. Shaitan who was always following the band is summoned to be the new bass player in the first show of the new CD "EVILWAR". After this Sabatan (vocal) left the band and Halphas (guitar) assumes the vocals together with the guitar. The contract with somber music expires with no interest of renovation. In 2005 evilwar was formed by Shaitan (bass), Halphas (guitar and vocal) and I. Niger (drums). The band signs the contract with Mutilation Records, and the horde records "Bleeding In The Shades Of Baphomet", that was recorded on the 13° May 2006. 1349 rose from the ashes of Alvheim in 1997, with Ravn (vocals & drums), Tjalve (guitars) & Seidemann (Bass) as well as Balfori (guitars). They recorded, but never released a demo in early '98. Balfori quit shortly after due to musical differences. In '99 they recorded the never released promo "Chaos Prefferred" 1349 needed another guitarist, and found Archaon whose speed and technique took their music to a new level of intensity and brutality. Come spring 2000, 1349 wanted to record a new promo showcasing their new material, and Ravn asked Frost of Satyricon to do the drums to get the speed required. Frost was later so impressed by the material written for the next release, that he wanted to become a permanent member of 1349. Holycaust Records offered them a deal and released the new promo as an eponymous MiniCD. Early 2001 they felt they had enough killer songs for a full-length album:"Liberation". Recorded and Mixed in Gordon Studios, and Mastered at Strype Audio, "Liberation" mixed seamlessly Old School with modern warp-speed hysteria. 1349 has played a few gigs, supporting Gorgoroth and later Cadaver Inc., as well as the "Hole in the Sky" festival 2001 in Bergen and the Inferno Festival in Oslo 2002. 1349 has parted ways with Holycaust Records and has now signed with Candlelight Records. "Liberation" was out the 7th of April 2003. 2003 was a great year for 1349. Their debut album received high praise all over, and in several magazines even made it The Newcomer of the Year. They played again at the Inferno Metal Festival. Actually opened the whole festival after their success in 2002. They also got a good spot at the big german festival "With Full Force", and played on the same stage as Zyklon, My Dying Bride and Moonspell. A small Europe tour in November with Aeternus and Red Harvest really did the trick for 1349, both when it came to playing live and give their music the correct face out to the fans. The new album "Beyond the Apocolypse" released in Europe 19. April 2004 via Candlelight. Recorded in Studio Studio Nyhagen, and again mastered at Strype Audio Norway.

Belphegor was formed in 1993, originally under the name Betrayer. After the release of their first demo, "Bloodbath in Paradise" the band became popular in the underground metal scene.[citation needed] Their first album, The Last Supper, was released by Lethal Records, the two following ones by Last Episode (now known as Black Attakk). After releasing their live album, Infernal Live Orgasm, on their own label, Phallelujah Productions, they signed with Napalm Records . In 2003, they released Lucifer Incestus, their fourth full-length album. However, their relationship with Napalm Records did not last, as they said afterwards that the label didn’t support them enough and they were "fed up with this respectless treatment."[1] The band is currently signed with Nuclear Blast and has released two albums with them, Pestapokalypse VI and Bondage Goat Zombie.
In February-March 2007 the band toured North America with Unleashed, Krisiun, and Hatesphere, and played at the famous Wacken Open Air festival in August. In January, founding member Sigurd underwent eye surgery, and has been unable to play since. On April 15th, they released Bondage Goat Zombie, and will tour Europe with Grave and supporting Nile. For a long time, it was not known whether Sigurd would be able to play or not, having reportedly undergone eye surgery at the beginning of 2008. However, Helmuth said that Sigurd had chosen to leave the band permanently. He was replaced with another guitarist, Morluch, who is currently listed on the band's MySpace page

Iskald represents ice cold and crystal clear black metal from the land of the midnight sun. Iskald shrines like aurora borealis on the northern black metal hemisphere. Hailing from Sortland in the northern part of Norway, Iskald have crafted out what will most likely stand out as a future classic within the genre. Fueled by the devotion to Norse mythology and the inspiration of arctic surroundings, founding members Simon Larsen and Aage Krekling, started up their black metal project, Iskald in early 2005. After a demo, the first EP Northern Twilight was completed by the end of the year. The EP was self financed and the pressing was limited to 400 copies and was soon to be a valuable collector’s item. In September 2006 Iskald entered Ballerina Audio (Vintersorg, Naglfar) to record their full length debut; Shades of Misery. In March 2007 the album was released by Indie Recordings. At its peak, Shades of Misery hits you like a snow blizzard, and at it most melodic - the brilliant riffs send ice cold shivers down your spine. The response from both press and fans all around the world has been outstanding so far. After releasing Shades of Misery, the line-up was completed with session members Rene Zonneveld and Espen Solstad, resulting in some live gigs rest of the year... 2008 will hopefully bring Iskald to new heights. Especially some old IMMORTAL and DARKTHRONE are often sounding through. Here and there IRATUS DOMINUS are more technical, whamt degenerates into slightly chaotic breaks. But this although creates the charm of this amusing CD. Far from every technical perfection they deliver us an atmospheric tight and fierce piece of Black Metal. Who can dig slightly primitive acts like the aforementioned GRAVEN, KOLD or more recent SATYRICON, couldn’t make much wrong with this album

The drummer slot took on nearly Spinal Tap proportions as the throne had a constantly rotating roster including Armagedda, Grim (ex-Borknagar) and Hellhammer (Mayhem). At times Abbath himself even sat behind the kit, as on Pure Holocaust and Battles in the North.Despite being essentially a two-piece, Immortal created an indelible niche for themselves by writing frosty, fast and catchy songs laden with fantasy-tinged lyrics about a mystical, icy place known only as Blashyrk. With Hellhammer on drums, the band embarked on their first big European tour with Morbid Angel in 1995. The tour only served to raise their status. After 1997's Blizzard Beasts, which saw the addition of the titan known simply as Horge, Demonaz experienced severe nerve damage in his hand that prevented him from further playing guitar. Abbath changed to guitar, and the band found a temporary bass player in Ares from Aeternus. Demonaz stayed active with the band writing all the lyrics and serving as the band's manager. In 1999, the band returned stronger than before and clearly established the definitive Immortal sound with At the Heart of Winter and its follow-up Damned in Black. Rounded out by new bassist Iscariah, Immortal stood above the others, as the records received incredible press worldwide. U.S. audiences even got a small taste of the band live, as they did a week of dates with fellow Norwegians Satyricon.Damned in Black finished the band's deal with Osmose Productions. The band signed with Nuclear Blast Records for the world and will see proper distribution in the U.S. for the first time with their seventh release Sons of Northern Darkness.
